Senior finance leadership opportunity within a

growing, well-established business

Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, BM Steel

is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join its

senior leadership team. This is a key strategic role, offering the

opportunity to influence decision-making and support the business

through its next phase of expansion.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will provide end-to-end financial

leadership, ensuring strong governance, insightful reporting, and robust financial control.

• Key responsibilities include:
• Full responsibility for financial management, reporting, and compliance
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow
• Cost control, margin analysis, and profitability reporting
• Management of working capital, banking relationships, and funding arrangements
• Continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and processes
• Leadership/Liaison with external auditors, accountants, and advisors

The Person

We are seeking a commercially astute finance professional with strong technical capability and

leadership experience.

Essential:

• Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
• Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise
• Ability to operate confidently at senior management level

Desirable:

• Experience within manufacturing, steel, construction, engineering, or an industrial sector
• Background supporting a growing or scaling business
• Strong systems and process improvement experience
