BM Steel Welcomes Two New Apprentices as Part of Its Commitment to Investing in Future Talent
BM Steel is pleased to welcome Kajus Savickas and Dearbhla McCann, who have joined the team as our newest welding apprentices.
Their arrival reflects BM Steel’s ongoing commitment to investing in future talent and giving young people in our community the opportunity to learn, develop their skills and build rewarding careers within the steel manufacturing industry.
Developing the Next Generation of Skilled Workers
A highly skilled workforce is central to the quality and reliability of the work BM Steel delivers. By providing apprenticeship opportunities, we can support young people as they begin their careers while helping to develop the practical skills and industry knowledge that are essential to steel manufacturing.
Kajus and Dearbhla will join BM Steel’s skilled workforce, gaining valuable hands-on experience across areas including steel fabrication, processing and quality control.
Throughout their apprenticeships, they will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced mentors who will help them develop their technical abilities and build their understanding of the industry.
This combination of practical experience, mentorship and structured learning will provide Kajus and Dearbhla with the foundations they need to progress within their chosen careers.
Learning from an Experienced Team
Working alongside experienced members of the BM Steel team will give our new apprentices first-hand exposure to a professional steel manufacturing environment.
Their apprenticeships will allow them to develop practical skills while gaining a greater understanding of the processes involved in producing quality steelwork. From fabrication and processing through to quality control, this experience will help them understand the importance of skill and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
For BM Steel, apprenticeships are also an important way of passing knowledge and experience from established members of our workforce to the next generation.
"We are delighted to welcome Kajus and Dearbhla” said Mike Mathers, Director at BM Steel. “At BM Steel, we believe that investing in young people is essential to the long-term success of our business. Apprenticeships provide an opportunity to learn a trade, gain recognised qualifications and become part of a skilled workforce”.
Investing in Skills for the Future
BM Steel recognises the importance of continuing to develop skilled people who can contribute to the future of the steel manufacturing industry.
Apprenticeships provide an opportunity for new entrants to gain practical workplace experience while developing recognised skills and qualifications. They also give apprentices the chance to learn directly from experienced professionals and understand the standards expected within a skilled manufacturing environment.
By welcoming new apprentices into the business, BM Steel is continuing to invest in people and skills while providing opportunities for young people within our community to establish careers in the industry.
Kajus and Dearbhla are beginning an exciting stage in their professional development, and everyone at BM Steel is pleased to have them as part of the team.
Welcome to the team, Kajus and Dearbhla. We look forward to seeing you grow and succeed!
